meet david daley

David Daley is the author of the national bestseller Ratf**ked: Why Your Vote Doesn't Count, which has been credited for kickstarting the national drive to end gerrymandering.

His second book, Unrigged: How Americans Are Battling Back to Save Democracy was praised by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for "restoring your hope that in America, the people still have the power."

His journalism has appeared in the New Yorker, the Atlantic, the New York Times and the Washington Post, among other publications. He has taught journalism and political science as a visiting fellow at Wesleyan University, Boston College, Smith College and the University of Georgia.

He is the former editor in chief of Salon.com and a senior fellow at FairVote.
